The report focuses on key assets that contributed to an outstanding year for law enforcement collaboration, and community engagement. 

MILESTONES:

The all-new National Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (NPS-AID) platform was completed. (replacing the prior OPS SNR and launched nationally on 1/15/25)

Agencies from New York, California, and Colorado joined New Jersey on the OPS Network. (North Carolina and Louisiana pending as of this report)

Nearly 60% of New Jersey County Prosecutor’s Offices are now active OPS partner agencies with two more currently pending as of this report (connecting most of NJ’s statewide county prosecutor’s offices 24/7 on a secure platform for the first time).

New Jersey state agencies such as the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and New Jersey State Police join NJ county sheriff’s, county DOC’s, and municipal police departments from across the state, utilizing the network in various ways daily.

OPS LENS, launched on July 1, 2024, in partnership with the New Jersey State Police, officially became New Jersey’s primary law enforcement information sharing system for all NJ law enforcement agencies, connecting all agencies and officers in real time, 24/7, on a first in the nation collaboration platform. 

OPS launches the “Noble Shield” Scholarship Program, offering educational scholarships to students pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. 

What’s Inside the Report?
    • Over 25 million individual network user alerts were processed in 2024.
    • Total Agencies: 636   
    • Total Registered (L.E.) Users: 15,243

OPS CONNECT:

    • 16,000+ notifications deployed.
    • 4,500+ direct messages shared.
    • 123 new (Secret and Closed) groups were created. 

OPS COMMUNITY:

    • 4,815 new community TIPS received.
    • 3,058 new SNR/NPS-AID submissions.
    • 124 Internal Affairs reports filed.
    • 2,628 Press Releases distributed.
    • 1,105 media outlets subscribed to receive agency Press Releases
    • 904 agency news articles published.
    • 108 community alerts deployed. 

MEDIA FILES UPLOADED:

    • 24,000+ images uploaded and shared.
    • 1,800+ videos uploaded and shared.
    • 4,300+ documents uploaded and shared.
